Thank you for choosing Mobile Spy for your smartphone monitoring needs. This section is an overall summary of this guide. Further sections of this guide are dedicated to each of the steps in this section. The requirements for your smartphone are listed below:

Phone Requirements
Any Smartphone running one of the following operating systems: Windows Mobile 2003SE / 5.0 / 6.0 or Symbian OS 9.x or BlackBerry 4.x or Android 1.x / 2.x or Apple iPhone 2.x/3.x

Internet Connection Requirements
Carrier which allows the use of GPRS upload (almost every carrier)
The inserted SIM card's account must have Internet access enabled to upload.

1. Register your account to make your username and password.
2. Install the Mobile Spy .cab file to your phone and launch the program.
3. Input user info and adjust settings inside the program. Then press Hide.
4. Login to your account after 60 minutes to view logs. Check logs anytime.

Step 1. Register Your Account - [Details]
In order to purchase this software you must first acknowledge and agree that you are the owner or authorized administrator of the device you wish to install the software onto. We DO NOT condone or promote the use of our software for illegal purposes. After ordering Mobile Spy you will instantly receive an email containing your registration code. If you have already registered using a trial account, simply go to the registration page and enter your current user info. Then paste your registration code and Submit. The account will become an active account or be reactivated if your trial expired.

If you have never created a Mobile Spy account, then you will first need to create your username and password by registering. DO NOT USE any spaces or characters other than numbers or letters. Paste your registration number to the appropriate box. You must agree to the legal requirements on the registration page. Then click Submit.

Step 2. Install Mobile Spy - [Details]
After your order is complete, you will be instantly emailed a receipt with your registration code. This email will also contain a link to download the program. You can download and install the application onto the phone to be monitored easily using the included instructions.

After Mobile Spy is downloaded to the phone, you will run the installer file on the phone. The software installs into full stealth mode. No icons or other mentions of the software will be shown on the phone. Once the software is installed, you are ready to adjust settings.

Step 3. Adjust Settings - [Details]
Once Mobile Spy is installed, it is hidden to the user of the phone. It is your responsibility to notify the user of monitoring. You can press a certain key sequence on the phone to bring up the Mobile Spy interface. From there you can change the various settings of the program.

Use the instructions contained in the order email to enter the key sequence to bring up the interface. Select which Internet (GPRS) connection to use to upload logs. Select which activities you wish to monitor and then select the option to start monitoring.

Step 4. Login to View Logs - [Details]
After you have started the monitoring it will remain active from that point on. Even if the phone is turned off and back on it will still remain active in the background. Activities will now be recorded and rapidly uploaded to your Mobile Spy account. After you have hidden the software you can login to your account to view logs anytime. After entering your username and password you will be brought to the Online Control Panel. Log entries are categorized by activity types on the left side. Click a type to start viewing!Please allow up to a few hours after installing for logs to show up. Usually the first logs show up after one hour. We hope you enjoy Mobile Spy!

Registering Your Account

Now that you know a little more about how the process works we will describe each step in more detail. let's begin by registering your account as described below.

If you have already registered using a trial account, simply go to the registration page and enter your current username, password and email. Then paste your registration code, agree to the terms and click Submit. The account will become an active account or be reactivated if your trial had expired.

If you have never created a Mobile Spy account, then you will now need to create your username and password by registering. By registering your account you will create your username and password. To register, go to the Create Account page which is shown below. After you have reached the Create Account page, input data into the following fields.

DO NOT USE any spaces or characters other than numbers or letters for your username and password. Paste your registration number to the appropriate box. You must agree to the legal requirements on the registration page. Then click Submit.

Enter a username / password you wish to use. Up to 60 characters each.

Registration Number
Copy and Paste the registration number from your order email.

Email Address
Enter your email address in case we need to email you updates.

Legal Requirements
You must check the box to agree to the Mobile Spy Legal Requirements.

After you have completed all fields, click SUBMIT to create your Mobile Spy account.

Installing Required Files (only for Windows Mobile 6.x)

In the case of Windows Mobile 6.x, you need to install a Microsoft .cab file. This process takes a few minutes. On your PC, follow the appropriate URL for your phone's Windows version and save the file to your PC. If you're using Windows Mobile 6.x Standard, use this URL: . If you're using Windows Mobile 6.x Professional, use this URL: .

Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable. Windows Mobile Device Center will open on your PC. When it does, click Connect to phone without changing settings.

On your PC, navigate to the location on your PC where you saved the wm.CAB file and click COPY.

In Windows Mobile Device Center, move the mouse over the File Management section and click on Browse the contents of your device. Once the explorer brings up your phone, navigate to My Documents, right-click the mouse and PASTE the wm.CAB file there. The file should appear.

On your phone, go to Start > Applications > File Explorer. Navigate to the My Documents folder. Highlight the wm.CAB file and select it to INSTALL. Follow the screens to install. Now you can delete the wm.CAB file from the My Documents folder.

Go ahead and navigate back to your phone's main screen from where you would dial a phone number. Dial #123456789* and press SEND to bring up the Mobile Spy login screen.

Type in your username and password EXACTLY as you had created them. Capitalization MUST match. Next, if you want to specifically configure Mobile Spy to monitor specific options, select OPTIONS and then UPLOAD SETTINGS.

On the next screen, you will be able to select what monitoring options you want Mobile Spy to record as well as the interval that the GPS positions will be recorded.

Installing Mobile Spy

The install of the cell monitoring program to your phone is very fast and easy. Just copy the Mobile Spy installer to the phone and run it from the phone. The installation process is very straightforward. You should select "Install to Device" during the installation process. Do not install to the memory card.

Below you will can read an example way to launch the program on your phone.

Step One: Download Installer to your PC
Save the installer file to any location on your computer.

Step Two: Copy the installer to your phone
Connect your phone to the computer and copy the file to the phone.

Step Three: Run the installer on the phone
Then disconnect the phone from the computer and launch the file.

Step Four: Select "Device" for location
For "location" choose to install to the "Device". Not to storage card.

Step Five: Setup Complete
You will be brought to user login screen as described in next section.

Input User Info and Settings

After you launch Mobile Spy for the first time you will be taken to the login screen. Follow the outline below to properly save your password and test or change settings. You can bring up this interface anytime by dialing #123456789*.

Step One: Enter User Login Info
Enter the username and password you created. Check BOTH boxes at the bottom to save password and login automatically. Click Login. It may take up to 60 seconds for anything to happen while it makes a connection.

Step Two: Main Interface
There are various settngs in the Main interface. We recommend leaving all settings as default until you are monitoring successfully. Later you can change the Report Timer, which is the amount of time between uploads. An interval of 30 to 60 minutes is ideal. Do not adjust any other settings as they are not enabled in the current version yet. Click Capture when you are finished saving your settings.

Step Three: Click Hide
Now that you have entered your user login info and clicked Capture, now its time to do some monitoring. Click Hide inside the interface. Now the program should not be showing. Send some text messages and make a few calls for the test. Then view results as detailed in the next section.

Viewing Activity

After installing Mobile Spy you should wait 1-2 hours until the first logs upload to your account. The default upload is every 60 minutes. Once an upload has occured you can login to your account to view results.

Logging Into Your Account
When you are ready to login to your account to check, enter your username and password into the fields below and click LOGIN. Or you can use the dedicated login page. Be sure to enter your username and password EXACTLY as you did upon account creation. Your username and password are case-sensitive.

Please Note: If you experience a slight delay when logging in, then let the page keep loading. Logs are fetched from the server at each login. If your login isn't instant then its because the server is fetching records. If you have an unusually large amount of records you might need to refresh the page to gain access.

Inside Your Account

Once you are inside your account, your screen should look something like the one below. Inside your account there are two groups of links on the left side. Each group contains a specific set of commands. These groups are outlined below.

Log Viewer
This is where you view all activities. You can select the direction and type of records to view, or view all at once.

Various log utilities including Search logs by phone number and Clear All Logs. You can also change your password here or logoff.

The menu at the top of the online control panel also contains links to some of the most commonly used commands.

Log Viewers
Each type of recording is saved into a separate log section for your convenience. All log viewer pages work the same. You can sort results by any column by pressing the sort arrow icon. You can do a global search of logs in your account for any exact phone number. Simply click the Search Logs link in the Tools section of the menu. Then enter your query. Results will be displayed for any matches found in ANY log type!

Deleting Logs
The log files within each viewer page can be deleted by clicking the checkboxes for items you wish to delete, then just click Delete. Additionally you can choose to clear ALL logs by clicking the appropriate link in the Tools / Utilities section of the left menu. Only erase logs if you are sure you want them erased. They cannot be recovered.

Change Password
Changing your password should only be done when you can also change it on the monitored phone. To change your password, go to your online control panel and click the Change Password link in the Tools section at left. Insert the appropriate fields and click submit. Your password will then be changed. Then, bring up the Mobile Spy interface on your phone by dialing #123456789*. Change the password in the program to your new password.

Exporting Logs in CSV
Mobile Spy monitoring software allows you to save logs to a CSV file. Simply click the CSV link on any viewer page. The results will show in a new window where you can save to any location. This is useful for viewing logs in a spreadsheet program such as Excel, or for a way to see all Text Messages at once.
